My wife is a confident woman. She can hold her own in a conversation or at a party and I’m constantly honored that this powerful woman chooses me as her mate and friend every day. Here’s why.
She has layers
Like a slowly blossoming flower, there is always more to learn about her. This creates an air of mystery and excitement that keep people wanting to know more. She continues to surprise me year after year because she continues to grow.
She has interests and curiosity
She can hold her own in a conversation and challenges stereotypes. She doesn’t take her cues from the person making the most noise. She can steer a conversation while also being a good listener. She is never at a loss for something to talk about and gets excited at the potential in new things.
She can be direct yet sensitive
Finding a balance between speaking your mind and being rude is not easy. Can you think of a good example of someone in the public eye who can’t do both? Yeah, me too.
A strong, confident woman makes sure her voice is heard, but because she is secure she can do it with tact and grace. It’s an art form that makes them magnetic to others.
She has charisma
Confidence on its own is a very attractive trait. When I am the man in the company of the woman that everyone is drawn to, I feel like I have won the lottery. Her confidence gives me confidence, and I am proud, not intimidated.
I am told by some of the women in my family that they are sometimes afraid to stand up and speak their minds because they think they will be shouted down or thought of as ‘bossy.’ In my experience, the opposite is true. The strong, confident women in my life make me feel good, confident, hopeful, and I want to be around them.
