It’s been a year since the world lost legendary actress and singer Olivia Newton-John to cancer, but her only daughter, Chloe Lattanzi, still feels her mother’s presence. In an exclusive interview, Lattanzi opened up about how she can still “feel” her mother on the family ranch, where Lattanzi and her husband James Driscoll live.
“It’s a place where I feel a tangible, even though I feel her around me in spirit, it’s a tangible place where I feel my mother,” Lattanzi shared with us. “Like, I can walk on the soil and be like, ‘her foot was here.’”
Lattanzi spoke about her mother’s love for the ranch and how it was a place where the two of them shared many memories. She reminisced about sitting on her mother’s favorite seat and visualizing herself sitting on her mother’s lap.
“She’s still alive there for me,” Lattanzi expressed.
Despite the pain of losing her mother, Lattanzi is determined to continue her mother’s legacy in cancer research. She shared with us her plans to expand the wellness center and the kind of treatment that people can receive.
“I want to continue her work and expand it. I’m really grateful that I’m well enough now to continue her legacy,” Lattanzi stated.
In addition to carrying on her mother’s work in cancer research, Lattanzi is also making music just like her mom. She shared with us her excitement about getting back to performing and how she could still hear her mother’s voice encouraging her to “get out there.”
Lattanzi also spoke about her belief in the afterlife and how she has felt her mother’s presence in orb form. She shared with us a story about a week after her mother passed, she was walking with her phone, and it took a photo of a blue orb flying around her dog’s head.
“Your loved ones never leave you,” Lattanzi captioned the video.
Lattanzi’s love for her mother is evident, and she hopes to continue to make her mother proud by carrying on her legacy in cancer research.
