It’s been over a year since Naomi Judd passed away, leaving behind daughters Ashley and Wynonna.
Since then, Wynonna has made many public appearances, including a recent performance with Best New Artist CMA winner, Jelly Roll. Both daughters have made great efforts to heal from this terrible loss, with Wynonna coping with an added element: her mother requested she not attend her funeral.
“Do not let Wy come to my funeral,” read a note, in part, that RadarOnline acquired around the time of Naomi’s passing. While Wynonna was certainly still in attendance, the reasoning was no bad blood between the mother/daughter pair.
Rather, Naomi clarified that Wynonna had mental health struggles; the request was likely to save Wynonna any harm.
