Now, after nearly thirty years together and more than two decades of marriage, the James Bond actor’s partnership with his wife is as strong as steel.
In a since-deleted Facebook post, Teen Mom star Jenelle Evans, 29, shared two photos stitched together of Brosnan and Smith on the beach over 20 years apart. The post included a photo of the couple in tip-top shape at the beginning of their relationship, alongside a more-recent snap. The image was initially created to celebrate the longevity of the pair’s relationship, but the reality star decided to share it to poke fun at the way the couples’ bodies have changed over the years.
Evans tagged her husband and fellow reality star David Eason, adding the comment, “This is us.”
“We do not look that fat,” her husband responded.
Jenelle replied: “Close to it.”
Evans’ profile was temporarily banned, but Brosnan did not let her comment go, taking to the platform to defend Smith.
“Friends offered her surgery to reduce her weight. But I strongly love every curve of her body,” he wrote. She is the most beautiful woman in my eyes. And also because she had our five children.”
Brosnan added that his love for his wife is much more than skin deep.
“In the past, I truly loved her for her person, not only for her beauty, and now I’m loving her even more that she is my children’s mother,” he continued. “And I am very proud of her, and I always seek to be worthy of her love.”
