Almost a full year after his passing, a cause of death has been revealed for Ray Liotta.
The ‘Goodfellas’ star, who passed in his sleep while filming a movie on location, had a number of medical issues listed on his death certificate, including pulmonary edema, respiratory insufficiency, and acute heart failure.
The actor left behind a daughter, Karsen, and a fiancée, Jacy Nittolo.
Most recently, Liotta starred in the movies ‘Cocaine Bear’ and ‘The Many Saints of Newark’. He was filming an upcoming movie, titled ‘Dark Waters’, in the Dominican Republic at the time of his passing.
While Liotta had a long-standing career, the final years of his life were certainly some of the most active of his professional life. He was in the midst of a career resurgence, saying,
“Weird how this business works, because I’ve definitely had a career that’s up and down. For some reason, I’ve been busier this year than I have in all the years that I’ve been doing this. And I still feel I’m not there yet. I just think there’s a lot more.”
