ORIGINAL ARTICLE: Jeffery Vandergrift is a San Francisco radio host for WILD 94.9 and has been missing for several days, last being seen last Thursday outside his home. His wife and co-host, Natasha Yi, gave a statement yesterday on Twitter, expressing reason to believe he “will not be coming back”.
“Thank you to our friends and the entire i-HeartRadio family and listeners for your love, support and prayers,” she started her statement. “I can feel your love and energy for JV [Jefferey Vandergrift], and I am so grateful for it. The amount of compassion for the physical torture JV has been going through for the past 2 years has been overwhelming.”
In 2021, Vandergrift was diagnosed with Lyme disease. He’s previously opened about how the disease has affected him, including giving him “brain fog, dizziness, migraines, and blurry vision.”
“I have been in so much pain and fear and I know all of you have been so scared and concerned for JV as well,” she continued. “JV and I have always considered this community part of our family, so I want to let you know that personal information has recently been discovered that leads us to believe JV will not be coming back. I tell you this with incredible pain and sadness in my heart.”
SFPD reported that no foul play is suspected in his disappearance. JV’s co-hosts talked on the show about what they’ve been going through amid his disappearance, even detailing the fact that they are unable to trace his whereabouts through various digital platforms.
“Same thing with credit cards, banking statements, there’s been nothing there. No activity and it’s really scary,” said co-host Selena.
“So incredibly difficult, it’s difficult for all of us obviously,” added Graham Herbert.
“Please forgive my silence during this time – my heart is utterly broken, and the pain feels unbearable,” Yi concluded her statement. “I will do my best to provide updates and I ask for you to please keep JV in your thoughts and prayers.”
