Robin Thicke wishes he focused more on his family, than his career.
Robin Thicke is opening up about the biggest regrets in his life… and while he can’t say he regrets using his sophomore album to try to win back his ex-wife, Paula Patton, he does wish that the move was personal, rather than financial.
“As an artist, I have no regrets, because as a writer you write what you feel to express yourself, but as an entertainer I feel like I should have just given it away for free, instead of promote or try to make it part of my entertainer’s process. I feel like it was so pure and personal that if I had just given it away, it would’ve kept the purity of the feeling.”
Paula and Robin never reunited; he suffered from drug and alcohol dependency during their marriage. During a deposition for music theft, Robin was asked if “he is an honest person”, to which he responded:
“No. That’s why I’m separated. I told my wife the truth. That’s why she left me.”
