Actress, Sophie Turner, is suing Joe Jonas, her estranged husband, for the “unlawful retention” of their two daughters: Willa, three, and D., 14 months.
Representatives for Turner asked for “the immediate return of children wrongfully removed or wrongfully retained.” They claim that the couple had planned to purchase a house in Turner’s home country of England, when Jonas requested a “temporary agreement” to take the girls on tour with him in the United States, as Turner’s filming schedule would mean Jonas could provide more daytime activities.
The dissolution of their marriage then happened “very suddenly”, with Turner’s team writing that, “the Father has possession of the children’s passports. He refuses to return the passports to the Mother and refuses to send the children home to England with the Mother.”
Jonas’ representatives state that, “Joe and Sophie had a cordial meeting this past Sunday in New York, when Sophie came to New York to be with the kids. They have been with her since that meeting.”
