The “joint” was rockin’ last Wednesday evening to the music of Donna Summer. I found myself dancin’ in my seat as well to songs like “Bad Girls,” “On the Radio” and “MacArthur Park.” The audience was singing and having a really good time.
At times, I think the show went on too long and could have ended earlier than it did. And the storyline was a bit contrived. But all in all, it was a fun night–especially for any of the Queen of Disco’s fans. The three actresses—LaChanze, Ariana DeBose and Storm Lever—that portray Donna at different stages of her life were each, in their own right, fabulous.
Even with its few flaws, I would definitely recommend it. Be prepared to sing and wear comfortable shoes.
