There are some well-known Hollywood feuds in history, but did anyone know that Sylvester Stallone and Richard Gere aren’t friendly with each other?
The pair were both hired to work on 1974’s “The Lords of the Flatbush”, when they got into a physical spat.
“He would strut around in his oversized motorcycle jacket like he was the baddest knight at the round table,” Stallone said.
Stallone went onto explain that their playfighting for the movie had “gotten out of hand”, and the situation came to a boil in the cafeteria, when Gere spilled his food on Stallone.
“I elbowed him in the side of the head and basically pushed him out of the car. The director had to make a choice: one of us had to go, one of us had to stay. Richard was given his walking papers and to this day seriously dislikes me.”
