ORIGINAL ARTICLE: Taylor Swift is correcting a misconception about her relationship with Travis Kelce.
Swift clarified that the first Kansas Chiefs game she attended in support of Kelce was not, in fact, one of their earlier dates. By that time, she says “we were a couple.”
“I think some people think that they saw our first date at that game?” she continued. “We would never be psychotic enough to hard launch a first date.”
The relationship actually “all started when Travis very adorably put me on blast on his podcast, which I thought was metal as hell. We started hanging out right after that. So, we actually had a significant amount of time that no one knew, which I’m grateful for, because we got to get to know each other.”
Swift was recently named TIME’s 2023 Person of the Year and a cover model for PEOPLE’s Most Intriguing People of the Year.
