At an average price of $245 per ticket to see Taylor Swift on her monumental ‘Eras’ tour, the pop-star is raking in about $13 million per night, before considering merchandise sales.
(Eagle-eyed ‘Swifties’ will note that 13 is Swift’s lucky number and a recurrent theme over her career… how does she do it?)
While making massive amounts of cash, Swift is also making major philanthropic moves. She’s already designated a $55 million bonus program for her crew members, including a $100K bonus for each truck driver. Swift has also been making large donations to local food banks near her concert venues, with a recent donation in Arizona providing 40,000 lbs. of food for those in need. Similar donations were made in California, Georgia, Michigan, Texas, and other states.
While Swift’s representatives and the local food banks have declined to reveal the specific amount Swift has been donating, Second Harvest of Silicon Valley, a foodbank Swift donated money to, has stated that general donations increased 43% from the previous week, with many people following Swift’s example.
