Tiger Woods is locked in a legal battle with his ex-girlfriend and employee, Erica Herman. In new court documents obtained by Us Weekly, Herman accuses Woods of sexual harassment. In a separate suit, Herman is accusing Woods of breaking an agreement by evicting her from his mansion after five years, while their initial agreement was that Herman would live there for 11 years.
Herman was employed by Woods’ restaurant, The Woods Jupiter, when she began a romantic relationship with Woods. Afterwards, Herman claims that Woods “forced her” to sign an NDA on pain of being “fired from her job”.
“A boss imposing different work conditions on his employee because of their sexual relationship is sexual harassment,” Herman’s lawyer said. Additionally, her lawyers pointed out that “the landlord made the availability of her housing conditional on her having sexual relationship with a co-tenant. That conduct amounts to sexual harassment under federal and Florida fair housing laws.”
Herman claims that Woods’ lured her to an airport under the guise that the pair would go on a getaway weekend, but was greeted by his lawyer, who then evicted her and broke up with her, on the behalf of Woods.
Now, Herman is attempting to have the NDA she signed discredited.
“Because of the aggressive use of the Woods NDA against her by the Defendant and the trust under his control, the Plaintiff is unsure whether she may disclose, among other things, facts giving rise to various legal claims she believes she has. She is also currently unsure what other information about her own life she may discuss or with whom,” her lawyers wrote, in recent statements.
