The official cause of death for Treat Williams’ has been released. Williams’ passed on account of “severe trauma and blood loss”.
Williams’ was struck by a driver named Ryan Koss, who took an abrupt turn, knocking Williams’ from his motorcycle. Koss has been charged with “grossly negligent operation with death” and is set to be arraigned on September 25th.
At the time of the accident, the responding police stated that Koss “turned into the path of Mr. Williams motorcycle”, causing “critical injuries in the crash”, with Williams’ “subsequently pronounced dead”.
Soon after Williams’ passing, a statement from his family read in part: “We are beyond devastated and ask that you respect our privacy as we deal with our grief. To all his fans, please know that Treat appreciated all of you and please continue to keep him in your hearts and prayers.”
