Let’s consider some statistics, shall we? As of 2022, the average dress size in the U.S. is between a 16 – 18 and roughly 68% (94.57 out of 138.97 million) of women of marrying age have married at some point.
So, it stands to reason that most of these women are or were overweight in their lives, so why is being attracted to a “fat” woman taboo? Certainly, the attraction exists! Beyond which, overweight women deserve for their partners to let them know they are desirable and – dare, I say it? – sexy!
We collected anecdotal evidence to see if we could bring any logic to this ridiculous dichotomy.
Social Pressure
Some men (and women!) admit to feeling social pressure from their peers to reject to diminish relationships with overweight partners. The fear of social repercussions can bring up internal insecurities. Embarrassment is misdirected from the aggrieving party, here being the rejecting social circle, to the aggrieved, the person’s partner.
Lifestyle Mismatch
Some men have also pointed out lifestyle mismatch as a factor. This is most relevant to those who regularly engage in extreme sport or ambitious work-out on a regular basis and prefer to bond with their partners during those activities.
Overview
The most important thing is that women do not allow other peoples’ perception dull their opinion of themself. Let’s be real, these reasonings are weak when compared to forces of connection and attraction. Every person deserves a partner who values them, openly and wholeheartedly.
